Amidst the Karur tragedy, the TV leader called for ‘Youth Revolution’ and then removed the post

Chennai, 30 September (IANS) TVK election campaign management general secretary Audav Arjun has triggered a political storm with a social media post now urged a “Youth Revolution” against the officials.

In a late night post on X on Monday, Adav Arjun wrote: “If there is a beating by walking on the streets, and posting a comment on social media, when the police have become a mere servant of those in power, then through a young revolution, the end of state terror as Jane Jane.

The post, which was seen by many people as the fire, was removed within minutes, but the screenshots had already gone viral.

Political parties in Tamil Nadu, still from the Karur tragedy, reacted rapidly.

The controversy comes out because the state mourns the devastating stampede at the TVK rally of actor-royalty Vijay at Veluyamalayam, Karur on 27 September. Part of TVK’s election campaign, when a crowded site saw nervousness and a deadly crush, became frightening.

Forty people, including eight children, lost their lives, and more than 60 others were injured.

Chief Minister MK Stalin, who arrived near Karur hours after the incident, announced an inquiry commission under retired High Court Judge Justice Aruna Jagadisin and promised that “rules and guidelines for political rallies” would be prepared after the report.

He urged the public that “not to spread uneven claims or malicious comments during this sensitive time.”

AIADMK General Secretary and former Chief Minister Edappi. Palaniswami expressed condolences, but the poor mob blamed the management and “called for a fair investigation that is beyond the eyewitness.”

Vijay, who has faced both sorrow and criticism after deaths, described the stampede as a “unimaginable tragedy” and promised personal support to each condolences with Rs 20 lakh to the bereaved family.

He has also demanded accountability for any laps in security and site system.

Opposition leaders argued that Adav Arjun’s comments threatened to incite emotions when the family is still mourning.

The ruling DMK figures condemned the post as “non -individual”, while AIADMK stated that it revealed the disappointment of TVK after the deadly rally.

As the kingdom reels from the Karur disaster, the removed posts have already added an unstable political edge to the stressful environment.
