Vijayawada, 29 September (IANS) The new terminal building at Vijayawada International Airport will be completed within a few months, Central Civil Aviation Kinjarapau Rammohan Naidu said on Monday.
He said that the construction of the new integrated terminal building (NITB) is going on and is expected to be completed within the next few months. On completion, the new terminal passenger will significantly increase the serving capacity.
The Civil Aviation Minister was speaking at the inauguration of the Udan Yatri Cafe at the Vijayawada Airport.
Udan Yatri Cafe will play an important role in increasing passenger experience by offering cheap and quality food and beverages, including the price of tea. 10, coffee/snack/sweets Rs. 20.

Ram Mohan Naidu insisted that the Udan Yatri Cafe will ensure that no air passenger would travel with an unformed stomach. He further announced that more Udan Yatri Cafe would be established in a phased manner at airports across the country.
The Civil Aviation Minister also provided an important update on future development at Vijayawada International Airport.
He said that a new international flight connection from Vijayawada to Singapore would be launched soon, and new domestic routes from Ahmedabad, Varanasi and Pune will be set up in the near future.
As part of the ‘Name of a paid mother’, a supply was also placed by the Civil Aviation Minister towards the airport city.
Kesinni Shivnath, Member of Parliament, Vijayawada; Dr. Sharad Kumar, Member (Operations), India (AAI) of the Airport Authority; Dr. Senior officials of H Srinivas, Member (HR), AAI and AAI were present.
Rammohan Naidu later posted on ‘X’ that the Udan Yatri Cafe, which ensures comfort and value for every passenger, is one step ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s affordable and accessible air travel approach to all.
Talked with the passengers and was happy to receive positive response from them, the minister said.
He said, “Further, we will ensure that every airport in India has an Udan Yatri Cafe, which strengthens our commitment to cheap services and enhances passenger experience in the whole country,” he said.
