Leader of political spectrum condole Stamped in TN’s Karur

Chennai, 27 September (IANS), the head of Tamilga Vatri Kajham (TVK), Vijay, the head of Vijay of Tamil Nadu, had more than a tragic stampede at the rally in Karur, where at least 36 people were killed and more than 60 others were injured on Saturday.

The tragedy occurred when a section of the huge crowd moved forward as Vijay was addressing his supporters.

Many people fell into a crush before joining the rescue teams and ambulances.

BJP President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda said in a post on X that “he was deeply saddened by the loss of life in a tragic stampede in Karur district of Tamil Nadu”.

He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.

“God can provide courage and strength to all people affected by this tragedy,” he wrote.

Congress General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that she was “heartbroken with a tragic stampede in Karur”.

Offering prayers for the stampede victims, they urged Congress workers in the area to help the injured and help the families of the victims with state officials.

Congress President Mallikrajun Kharge also expressed a shock and sorrow, “a political rally in Karur in Tamil Nadu called the unfortunate and tragic stampede, claiming the lives of many innocent people”.

He expressed condolences and urged Congress workers to ensure timely relief and medical help.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that “he was deeply suffering to hear about the tragic accident in Karur”, and prayed to the departed souls for peace and gave strength to their families.

“Om Shanti,” he wrote in his message on X.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced a judicial inquiry into the incident and each bereaved family with Rs 10 lakh as financial compensation with Rs 1 lakh for the injured victims.

He directed senior ministers and top officials to take care of the victims and take care of the prevention and treatment of the victims and it is expected that they will meet the dead and families in Karur.

Rescue and medical team continues to work in Karur government hospitals and other facilities where many victims are subject to significant care.

In some injured, the toll of death may increase due to some injuries in the intensive care unit.
