Kharge urged the connection at the ground level in meeting the observers; Committees formed for 3 states

26/09/2025 by Justin

New Delhi, September 25 (IANS) Congress President Mallikarajun Kharge on Thursday emphasized the party’s founder and basic commitment to be marginalized, urged workers to deepen their engagement with ground -level communities.

He was addressing a meeting of All India Congress Committee (AICC) supervisors in New Delhi, which was organized under the organization Srijan Abhiyan (Organization Creation Abhiyan).

In a reflective and strategic address, Kharge called for the legacy of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, saying: “The Congress should maintain a close relationship with millions of soundless people who represent it. When Congress workers merge with these thoughts and lives with these millions, Congress committees will become a sacred place, which will provide solutions for men and women.”

The meeting brought senior observers and organizational leaders from across the country together and reviewed the progress and determined the priorities to strengthen the party structure at the district level.

As part of the campaign, committees were formally formed to select District Congress Presidents in Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan – three states where the party actively reorganized its ground -level machinery before the upcoming electoral cycles.

Kharge insisted that the Congress should act as a movement not only as a political unit but as a movement contained in sympathy, justice and public service.

“Our strength lies in our ability to listen, represent and act. Each committee should reflect the aspirations of those who do this,” he said.

The organization Sreejan Abhiyan was launched earlier this year to revive the organizational structure of the party, with focus on transparency, inclusion and accountability.

The formation of selection committees is a major milestone in the rollout of the campaign, which indicates a change towards more participation leading model.

The party leaders present at the meeting echoed Kharge’s sentiments, calling for energy and unity fresh at the ground level.

The Congress President also urged the observers to ensure that the selection is a qualification-based and representative of local realities.

The meeting concluded with the party’s commitment to democratic values and the resolve to build an individual and people-centric organization.
