The allegations made in the press conference will not be caught, give details: Ashok Chaudhary hit Prashant Kishore back

New Delhi, September 24 (IANS) Bihar Minister and JD (U) leader Ashok Chaudhary has strongly denied the allegations leveled by Jan Suraj’s chief Prashant Kishore, who accused him at a price of Rs 200 crore of “unknown assets” in just two years. Chaudhary dismissed the claims as baseless, stating that the allegations made during a press conference have no merit unless they are supported by appropriate evidence.

The minister has replied by sending a defamation notice of Rs 100 crore to the Kishore, demanding a public apology and warning of legal action if the allegations are not withdrawn.

“We have replied through a legal notice and asked him, when our election affidavits are already listed, how can the property be undeclared?” Chaudhary said.

“It is a clear legal process to determine whether any property is organized in the name of someone else. In this case, I personally bought land, paid for it, and declared back to the Election Commission in my affidavit presented to the Election Commission in April last year. So how can it be called ‘unknown or proxy-owned) property?” He asked.

He further challenged the teenager to give evidence wrongly.

“If he claims that there is a financial misuse of crores, name it, identify the property in the question, and share the details. The allegations made in the press conference will not catch; we are ready to reply through an affidavit in the court,” Chaudhary said.

Earlier, Kishore accused several leaders on the party lines of corruption, including BJP state president Dilip Jaywal, Health Minister Mangal Pandey and Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, which alleged everything from taking bribe to fake degrees.

However, it is an allegation against Ashok Chaudhary who has triggered the strongest pushback. The JD (U) Minister says that such “baseless and politically motivated” are being made to create sensational and mislead the public.

“If he fails to apologize, we are ready to take the matter to court,” Chaudhary warned.

As soon as the political atmosphere of Bihar gets hot before the 2025 assembly elections, the war of words between political leaders is increasing.
