Manipur: 9 Terrorists uninterrupted; 36 weapons, huge ammunition, drugs recovered

Officials said on Tuesday that Imphal, September 23 (IANS) In a series of joint operations in various Manipur districts, the army and other security forces arrested nine hardcore terrorists and recovered stores such as 36 weapons, some instantaneous explosive equipment (IED), drugs and other war.

Defense spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amit Shukla said that in a close coordination with the Manipur police, the Army and Assam Rifles Formation carried out a series of accurate, intelligence-operated joint operations in seven districts-Tengnuppal, Thubbal, Imphal East, Tamglong, Tamglong, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, and the flag.
