On September 23 (IANS), President Lok Morcha (RLM) President and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha reduced the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Patna on Wednesday, ahead of Patna, Bihar Assembly elections, claiming that the incident would “have no effect”.
Talking to reporters on Tuesday, Kushwaha said, “Bihar assembly election is only a few weeks later, and that is why Congress leaders are coming to Bihar. After the election, they will not appear here. Their presence will not affect the NDA. We will win Bihar assembly elections with an absolute majority and form the government again.”
Kushwaha criticized the grand alliance of RJD and Congress, calling it a partnership of its convenience.
He said, “The alliance of RJD and Congress is based on selfish goals. It will not work in Bihar. Tejashvi Yadav is declaring himself as the chief ministerial candidate, while the Congress says the CM will decide after the election. It reflects their internal confusion,” he said.
The CWC meeting to be held at Sadakat Ashram in Patna will be attended by senior Congress leaders, including Mallikrajun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and more than 170 members of the party’s top decision -making body.
Kushwaha also commented on seat-sharing discussions within the NDA, especially Union Minister Chirag Paswan expressed the expectations of a respectable number of seats for his party, Lok Janshadi Party (Ram Vilas).
Kushwaha said, “We cannot take his statement incorrectly. NDA seat-sharing talks are going on, and everything is fine. The formula will be finalized soon.”
Earlier, Arun Bharti, brother -in -law of Chirg Paswan, said that in the last elections, remembering the party’s seat Tally, anything between 43 and 137 seats would be respectable for LJP.
Prashant Kishore, the head of Jan Suraj, responding to corruption charges against NDA leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary and Mangal Pandey, Kushwaha avoided a direct defense.
He said, “Those allegations are faced. They will be in a better position to respond to the allegations.”
This comment comes in the form of political activity in Bihar, intensifying before the election schedule, the Election Commission expected to announce voting dates by the end of September.
