Hyderabad, 22 September (IANS) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revant Reddy said on Monday that Telangana Rising Corps Urban City area would be developed as a global city, serving as a model for infrastructure infrastructure.
He directed senior officers of all departments to prioritize education, healthcare, road transport, sanitation and public health, which are the right measures of human life standards.
The Chief Minister said that millions of families are migrating from various districts and states to Greater Hyderabad, and therefore, urban expansion should be supported by world -class infrastructure.
A comprehensive plan should be prepared to provide advanced facilities.
Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan performed a powerpoint underlining 111 proposals under five major components for the Core Urban City Development Plan.
The Chief Minister insisted that proposals to beautify the city should also improve the standard of living of the poor and middle class, not only for cosmetic reforms.
He directed the authorities to implement reforms to ensure universal access to quality primary education.
All government schools, high schools and colleges will be identified under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), corporations and municipalities.
They will be classified into three categories – class 4 from nursery, 8 from class 8, and classes 9 to 12, to standardize quality.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, initially the focus on class 4 schools will be focused on nursery.
“Modern school buildings will be rebuilt on government land. Four to five under-armed schools will be consolidated in a campus to optimize resources. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided in the school along with government transport, which reduce the financial burden on poor and middle class parents.”
The Chief Minister directed the Education Department to prepare and implement this scheme immediately.
Commenting on Healthcare, Chief Minister Revantha Reddy wanted the officials to set up a special clinic to provide immediate healthcare for the poor.
He asked the authorities to prioritize cleanliness for Hyderabad that they should be recognized globally as a “clean city”.
He warned that the laxity in the garbage collection would invite strict action, while the authorities will be rewarded by the state government by successfully implementing the “Clean City” initiative.
Talking about the government infrastructure, he made it clear that no government office should work in the rented premises; Each office should have its own building.
He asked the officers to allocate land and prioritize the construction of office buildings.
The Chief Minister said that all secretariat and city offices, schools and colleges should be transferred to renewable energy, with immediate installation of solar power plants.
He wanted the officer to protect nominations, lakes and tanks; Apply a digital land database to protect government land.
He asked them to order the cleaning of drains and manhole’s robot.
On traffic and mobility, he urged the authorities to study a traffic to avoid the crowd for a long time.
They were directed to introduce advanced signal systems and connect all junctions to the command control center.
Chief Minister Revantha Reddy asked the authorities to cooperate with Google to deal with traffic issues, to implement drone policing for traffic control in crowded areas and to build water harvesting wells at junctions to avoid rainwater.
He directed that the courts of municipal, police, electricity and water boards should align for effective coordination for the city’s plan and coordination.
