Gandhinagar, 22 September (IANS) Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the vibrant Navratri festival 2025 at the GMDC ground in Ahmedabad on Monday.
The festival, organized under the subject of “Ahwan Maa Adyashakti”, showed a grand cultural performance by more than 1,000 artists.
Concluding cultural presentations, mother -in -law participated in a devotional aarti of Jagadamba to participate in the Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers, which marks the formal Mahaoti.
The festive tourism and cultural activities were obtained by Mulubhai Bera, State Ministers Jagdish Vishwakarma and Kunwarji Halpal and Ahmedabad Mayor Pratikikha Jain.
Expanding the Navratri greeting for the people of the state and the country, CM Patel said that the launch for the GST reforms of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the first day of Navratri on the first day of Navratri, this year’s celebrations, a festival and a “double saving bonus” for both people, including Diwali.
He urged the citizens to support the ‘Amanar Bharat’ mission by giving priority to indigenous products from traditional Dandiya Stick to Jewelry and Cosmetics during festivals.
Prior to the inauguration, the Chief Minister also reviewed several attractions, including nine vows, photo zones, selfie points, a particularly curated kids city, a food court and a thematic exhibition based on a handicraft market.
He interacted with women from self-help groups at festivals stalls and inaugurated a multimedia exhibition on “11-year Good Governance” organized by the Central Bureau of Communications.
Many dignitaries including Ahmedabad MLAs, Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, Tourism Secretary Rajendra Kumar and Tourism Corporation President Prabhav Joshi were present.
The inauguration program attracted guests in India and abroad, along with the citizens of Ahmedabad, who attended lively ceremonies.
The Navratri festival, which respects Goddess Durga through nine nights of dance, music and rituals, demonstrates the unique folk art of the state including Garba and Dandiya RAS.
Its cultural significance, inclusion and scale have tried to recognize by UNESCO, not only as a religious festival, but also on Navratri as a living example of India’s abstract cultural heritage.
