Bhubaneswar, 22 September (IANS) All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal held a review meeting with the prestigious party supervisors for Odisha for the Sangathan Srijan campaign in New Delhi on Monday.
Venugopal held a detailed discussion with AICC supervisors on reports prepared after visitors across the state as part of the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
Taking his X handle, Venugopal wrote, “These discussions were based on comprehensive reports prepared with PCC supervisors after wide field visits, and discussion with party officials and social groups for their respective districts. These reports include socio-political landscape and intense analysis of ongoing dynamics, which assist in the selection process of the DCC.”
As part of the campaign, the AICC General Secretary during his recent visit to Odisha, also interacted with members of the Odisha Congress Committee (PAC), Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) members, AICC supervisors, other senior party leaders, MLAs and workers, which were during two important party meetings in Bhubnesswar.
During a meeting with PAC members and other party leaders in Odisha, Venugopal emphasized the need to strengthen the organization at the district and ground and said that PCC supervisors should play a decisive role in the process.
He said that the Congress stood firmly with the people of Odisha in its struggle for justice, dignity and democracy. Venugopal had earlier revealed that the selection of presidents for all 35 organizational districts in Odisha will be completed by 30 September under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
The Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan is a campaign to identify district presidents in 30 district units of the Congress party in Odisha. According to reports, the purpose of the initiative is to choose leaders who demonstrate ideological clarity, unwavering loyalty to the party, and the ability to challenge any attack on the party by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its opponents.
