Do not join petty politics on Dashera, Siddaramaiah tells critics

Mysuru, 22 September (IANS) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday challenged his political opponents and critics that if they want politics, they should choose the election ground, not the celebration of the state.

“Do not indulge in low-level politics on Dashera,” he said that after praying to Devi Chamundeshwari and inaugurating the world famous historic Dashera festival in Mysuru city with Booker prize winner Banu Mushtaq.

“Those who have no knowledge of Dashera and our cultural heritage opposed Booker Awardee Banu Mushtaq. It is an unattainable crime to distort history and to indulge in selfish politics. If you want to do politics, do so during elections. Stay for Paytm politics on the state festival.”

“Most of the people of the state have welcomed the inauguration of the inauguration of Banu Mashtak. It is a matter of pride. It is appropriate that Booker Awards Award winner Banu Mushtaq inaugurated Dashera. It is a human being for those who are a human being. Humanity,” CM commented.

“Those who follow the constitutional values โ€‹โ€‹of tolerance and co-existence are true Indians. Our Constitution is secular and non-religious. Both the High Court and the Supreme Court have retained it. Only those who are proud to call themselves Indians, they will be proud of the constitution. They should know our rights and responsibilities.

Quoting the famous Kannada poet Kuvampu, Siddaramaiah said on communal forces, “We should not forget the words of Kuvampu. Step out of temples, churches and mosques.

“We have implemented a guarantee for the poor of all castes, religions and political affiliation in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution. Are BJP leaders not beneficiaries of these guarantee?” Siddaramaiah asked.

He said, “These guarantee will not stop. Because of them, the per capita income of our state has reached number one in the country. Today, we are also number one in GDP in India,” he proudly said.

“On the one hand, BJP leaders oppose our guarantee, and on the other, they are stealing them,” the CM alleged.
