Chennai, 22 September (IANS) Madras High Court received a new petition from Desia Makkal Setty Kachi (DMSK), in which actor C. Joseph Vijay’s Tamilga Vatri Kazgam (TVK) case has been sought to be involved, stating that Ruling is established in Tamil Nadu.
DMSK, led by its chairman ML Ravi, has filed a vested petition in a case where TVK has challenged that it has been described as the “spectacular” sanctions imposed by the state police on Vijay’s election campaign.
Through advocate AP Suryaprakasam, DMSK stated that it wants to be added as a party to assist the court in highlighting the obstacles faced by small organizations.
The petitioner argued that since 2016 it was working to give voice to the poor and marginalized concerns, whose issues rarely get a place in mainstream politics.
This accused of increasing money to use their impact to suppress and challengtors through repeated stents in power.
The affidavit states, “They act as a large banyan tree, under which no small plants can survive,”
According to DMSK, TVK was being taken out and subjected to repressive circumstances, including boundaries on the period of speech and boundaries at the size of ceremonies.
The party alleged, “Mr. Vijay is not allowed to speak for more than 30 minutes in any meeting, and the caps are fixed on appearance, while the ruling party’s programs have no such curb.”
It further stated that the police were acting like “a wing of the ruling DMK”, which implements harsh situations that weaken democratic freedom.
The petition stated, “Dissatisfaction is the essence of democracy, and if such tasks against TVK are allowed today, they can be repeated against other parties tomorrow,” the petition stated.
DMSK urged the High Court to allow its implications to strengthen the case that it is described as discriminatory rules and shows that such restrictions, if uncontrolled, would weaken democracy in Tamil Nadu.
