GST reform: JP Nadda meets Delhi shopkeepers, Economic Policy says to gain further strength under PM Modi.

New Delhi, September 22 (IANS) India’s economic policy will gain strength in many times to come under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such as GST-Cut, BJP National President JP Nadda said on Monday.

After interacting with shopkeepers at Amar Colony in South Delhi on the first day of the new tax regime, JP Nadda said that he has urged shopkeepers to pass consumers on the benefit of low GST and sell only indigenous products.

With Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, JP Nadda told reporters, “Shopkeepers in Amar Colony have asked me to express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for cutting GST rates and promised to follow their appeal to sell only Indian products.”

He said, “I want to thank PM Modi and congratulate crores of consumers on the occasion of Navratri and for cuts on GST,” he said.

JP Nadda said that the festival season will soon celebrate the worship of Dussehra, Bhiduj, Dhant, Deepawali and Chhath Mai, in which crores of worshipers shop and benefit from GST cuts.

The BJP national president said that during his meeting with the shopkeepers of the Ladies Suit Market in Amar Colony, he told the shopkeepers of PM Modi to the shopkeepers and greeted him on the implementation of the GST reforms of the next generation.

JP Nadda said that shopkeepers have welcomed the steps taken by PM Modi and promised to implement it in their true spirit to benefit consumers.

He said, “I have requested shopkeepers to sell only indigenous items which are made with the sweat of Indian youth who are 100 percent Indians,” he said.

Delhi BJP President Sachdeva welcomed the implementation of the GST reforms of the next generation by PM Modi’s government, stating that he has given a big gift to the common people and traders of the country and Delhi on the first day of Navratri.

Sachdeva said that these reforms will not only make the essential commodities cheaper, but will also enable traders to invest more in their businesses, while they will help avoid complex legal obstacles related to taxation.

He said that beyond the festive season, PM Modi’s decision serves as a “festival of savings” for the people of Delhi. Everyone will benefit from this initiative-from transporters and shopkeepers to poor, middle class, youth, farmers, women and entrepreneurs.

Sachdeva said that PM Modi’s government, which fulfilled the dream of ‘One Nation, One Tax’, has now taken another step to reduce the GST rates to reduce the financial burden on citizens before the festival season.

He appealed to the people of Delhi to support local products and buy-in-India goods made during this festival season to contribute to the journey to make India self-sufficient.
