Itanagar, 22 September (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects worth Rs 5,127 crore in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh on Monday, called “a great example of double benefits from the double-engine BJP government”.
He reached Itanagar and laid the foundation stone for two major hydroelectric projects: HEO Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW), which will be developed in Siom Sub Basin in Arunachal Pradesh.
Out of about 13 infrastructure projects during an event at Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar, two major hydro power projects with a total generation capacity of 426 MW will be commissioned by the state -owned North East Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO).
Addressing the big gathering, PM Modi said, “Come here, looking at so many people on the way, holding children and diagonally, this magnificent reception fills me with pride. The reception was so good that I was delayed in coming here. Arunachal’s land is not only the land of the emerging sun, but also a party of patriotism.”
He said, “The first color of Tricolor is saffron, similarly Arunachal’s first color is saffron. Every person here is a symbol of valor and simplicity,” he said.
The Prime Minister thanked the people of Arunachal for “shower” with “immense love”.
He said, “From Tawang Math to Golden Pagoda in Namsai, Arunachal is a confluence of peace and culture, is the pride of Maa Bharati. I bow to this holy land,” he said.
On the first day of Navratri, a “special” journey to Arunachal’s visit to Arunachal, I got to see such beautiful mountains. Today, we offer their prayers to Maa Shailputri, which is the daughter of Parvat Raj Himalayas. Also, the next generation GST reforms have been applied even today, and Gust Bacht UTV left it.
He said, “All this at the top, many development projects are being inaugurated in Arunachal. Today, there are many projects including electricity, health, tourism, etc. in the state. This double-engine is a great example of double benefits of BJP government,” he said, congratulated people for the inauguration of the projects.
PM Modi met small and medium -sized traders before addressing the incident. He said, “I got a chance to see their products in their shops. I could clearly see the enthusiasm among the traders, among the manufacturers of various items and among the general public in a large number of general public.”
Smoting the Congress, the Prime Minister said that the entire Northeast suffered a lot of damage, “but the Modi government ensured that the people here were also progressing.
“The people of the Northeast fell far behind in development. When you gave me an opportunity to serve the country in 2014, I pledged to free the nation from the mindset of the Congress. Our inspiration is not a vote or the number of seats in any state-this is the feeling of nation-building. Our only mantra is ‘Nagrik Devo Bhava’, and he said that he said.
He said, “We consider all the eight northeastern states as the forms of Goddess Lakshmi. Therefore, we cannot see the region lagging behind in development. The central government is spending as much as possible on development here,” he said.
