Mumbai, September 22 (IANS) Shiv Sena (UBT) on Monday excluded Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for branding “Urban Naxal”, accused of speaking in a confused voice and using the word for silent dissatisfaction.
In an editorial in the party mouthpiece Saamana, the Thackeray camp said that after accusing Gandhi’s corruption and vote-waiting system, Fadnavis commented on how the youth of Nepal overthrew a corrupt rule to save democracy.
“Fadnavis’s statements clearly show an confused mentality. If Gandhi is an urban Naxalite, what should be said about India’s current foreign policy that tilt towards ‘Maoism’?” Thackeray asked the camp in editorial.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) expressed serious concern that the Constitution and Democracy are under threat under the BJP -led government at the Center of democracy, as those who speak on issues are branded as ‘urban Naxal’, who are afraid of speaking people due to fear and threats.
It excavated the BJP, Modi and Fadnavis, which was never part of the freedom struggle. “If they were, they used to labeled the movement and non-co-workers’ movement as’ urban Naxal ‘campaigns.”
“Mao’s country is China, where Mao’s influence is still strong. If it is true that China is still directed by Mao’s views, why is Prime Minister Modi involving Mao’s hand with China after criticism of President Trump? Did Prime Minister Modi also asked Foreign Minister Jaishankar to attach a Maoist and urban Naxal to attach a Maoist and urban Naxalite with China?” Thackeray asked the camp.
“Mao’s China has now become a friend of India, and BJP’s foreign policy pundits are doing China day and night. A communist rule after another weapon in Europe and the world, but China’s communist rule is strong. Naxalites,” said the Thackeray camp.
According to the editorial, farmers from Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh took their demands and sat on the border of Delhi, broke the heat, cold and rain to cancel four black laws. “Thousands of farmers died during the movement. The BJP was already making a disturbance at that time that terrorists and Naxalites infiltrated the movement. Therefore, it is no surprise that Fadnavis called for opposition to an urban Naxalite movement against votes,” said at the Thachare camp.
The editorial further said, “Mao’s attitude was that the country’s money should not be in the hands of a person or group. But in India today, the resources of the country are concentrated in one or two corporate homes. There is anger in the hearts of people for BJP.
The Thackeray camp said that the BJP used the emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi to target the opposition. “However, it forgets that leaders like Charan Singh, Jayaprakash Narayan, and others instigated the police and the army not to follow the government’s orders. George Fernandes, who strongly opposed the Emergency, was associated with the Baroda Dynamite case. So they should also be called ‘Urban Naxal’?” Asked this.
The Thackeray Camp claimed that the fear in the minds of the rulers that the youth in India would revolt like Nepal and overthrow their empire. This is the reason that the government is resorting to intimidation and threats. But the real question is whether this governance is more scared than the people, people who belong to the government? It asked further.
