Navratri begins as temples of devotees across India with grandeur.

New Delhi: Navri is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country as a large number of devotees blessed the temples in search of blessings.

The nine -day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga is one of the most revered in Hinduism. The festival symbolizes the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura, which symbolizes the victory of good over evil and the restoration of religion.

Films across the country are beautifully decorated, adding the spirit of celebration.

In Uttarakhand, a grand arrangement was seen in the Maa Mansa Devi temple of Haridwar, where devotees offered prayers and participated in a special aarti.

“During Shardia Navratri, devotees pray to the goddess with great devotion, such as items such as betel nut leaves, coconut, and other offerings, according to her heartfelt devotion. On the first day of Navratri, the first form of the goddess, the first form, the shellputry, worshiped, is worshiped,” said the priest of a temple.

A devotee said, “We pray that Mata Rani blesses everyone and brings happiness and prosperity to all homes.”

In Jammu and Kashmir, devotees chanting ‘Jai Mata Di’ on the way to Mata Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra.

A devotee told IANS, “Today is my birthday as well as the first day of Navratri. I wanted to celebrate it with Mata Rani, so I came here to seek blessings.”

A large crowd was also seen in the famous Shaktipeth Naina Devi temple in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh.

Explaining the importance of the temple, a priest told IANS, “The eyes of Mata Sati fell in the court of Mata Shri Nana Devi, so this religious place has been named Shri Nana Devi ji, and a large number of devotees reach Mataji’s court for Navriri Puja and fulfill their wishes.”

The Shailputri Temple in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh has also drawn thousands of worshipers since morning.

A devotee said, “The first day of Navratri is considered incomplete without the visit of Shailputri Mata. That is why this temple in Varanasi is a wonderful confluence of faith and devotion.”

In Delhi, long queues were seen at the Shri Jhandevalan Devi temple from 5 am, where the mantras of ‘Jai Mata Di’ echoed throughout the campus.

Talking to IANS, a devotee said, “We come to see Mata Rani every year. A good arrangement has been made by the temple. Sevdars are deployed everywhere to ensure that the devotees do not face any problem. A very good arrangement has been made by the temple administration and sevadars.”

Similar scenes were seen in the Kalkaji temple, which is another famous temple in Delhi, where devotees had prepared for darshan from morning. Authorities have deployed tight security and made detailed arrangements to manage the huge crowd.

The Navratri celebrations also started in Rajasthan, where hundreds visited Mehranggarh Fort in Jodhpur to pray at the Chamunda Mata temple. Darshan has been arranged for the devotees from 7 am to 5 pm.

With lively decorations, devotional mantras and large gatherings in temples, the festival has once again brought millions of devotees together across the country in prayer and celebration.
