PM Modi today to open a redevelopment of 524 -year -old Tripura Sundari Temple

After laying the foundation stone of 13 development projects worth more than Rs 5,127 crore in Arunachal Pradesh capital Itanagar, the Prime Minister will reach Agtarla on Monday afternoon.

From Aarartala, he will go to the inauguration of the redevelopment Mata Tripura Sundari Temple at 65 km south of Augartla by helicopter, at Gomti District Headquarters, Udaipur.

PM Modi’s visit to Monday is the 11th visit to the state and is the second visit to the Tripura Sundari Temple since becoming Prime Minister in 2014. He visited worship at the first Mata Tripura Sundari Temple on 7 April 2019 and his last visit to Tripura was on 17 April 2024 in connection with the lock meeting.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, who visited the Udaipur and Tripura Sundari Temple during the last two weeks to preparation and monitor the Prime Minister’s visit, said that he had invited PM Modi to inaugurate the redevelopment Tripura Sundari Temple and the courtyard.

After being taken to his official X account, CM Saha said: “The supernatural scene of the night, which campaigned about the new infrastructure of the mother’s residence, was built under the Prasad Project! Narendra Modi on September 22.”

The Chief Minister shared a video of the redevelopment Tripura Sundari Temple and a beautiful environment. A senior official of the tourism department said that the 524 -year -old Tripura Sundari Temple has been redeveloped at a cost of more than Rs 52 crore, under the scheme of the Union Ministry of Tourism (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Drive). The Tripura government also contributed Rs 7 crore to the project.

The Tripura Sundari Temple in Gomti district of southern Tripura is a prestigious temple and is a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of the state.

The official said that the inauguration of the Prime Minister of the redevelopment temple would be a will for its importance.

The temple built by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, the then King of the state in 1501, is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths in the country and the Kali Temple in Kalphi in Kolkata and the third such pilgrimage center in eastern India after the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati.

At the end of the 517 -year rule by hundreds of kings on October 15, 1949, Prince Rajkumar Rajkumar of Tripura, Kanchan Prabha Devi, then came under control after a merger agreement between Regent Maharani and Governor General.
