Chennai, 22 September (IANS) The Regional Meteorological Center in Chennai has estimated thunderstorms with moderate rainfall in parts of Tamil Nadu in the next three days.
The warning also extends to neighboring Puducherry and Karikal regions.
According to officials, many areas of the state recorded significant rainfall in the last 24 hours, which ended on Monday morning. Koli topped the list with every six centimeters in Lalpet and Mayiladuthurai district in Kudalore district. In Mayiladuthurai district, Manalmedu and Sirakazi recorded five centimeters of rainfall, while KM Koil in Kudal, Cherumalli in Nilgiris, and Myiladuthurai Automatic Weather Station recorded four centimeters in each.
Meteorologists reported that a cyclonic circulation is prevalent in Tamil Nadu and neighboring southern states. In addition, two low -pressure areas are expected to be closer to the Andaman Islands and Myanmar coast in the Bay of Bengal. However, these systems are unlikely to have a direct impact on Tamil Nadu.
Despite this, Vedarman has warned that with the northern and southern districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karikal, there is a possibility of thunder and medium rain mantra from Monday to Wednesday from Monday to Wednesday.
Along with the Tamil Nadu coast, strong winds are expected on the South -West Gulf of Bengal, the Gulf of Mannar and the Kumari Sagar nearby. The boundary of air speed is estimated between 40 and 50 km per hour, with several times to reach 60 kmph.
Fishermen have been advised to enter the sea during the forecast period due to the possibility of rough weather.
