New Delhi, September 21 (IANS) The 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being celebrated as ‘Seva Pakhwada’, under which several public welfare programs and blood donation drives are being organized to serve common people.
As part of it, a mega medical camp was organized at Nehru Bhawan in Barri village of Nangal (Punjab) under the leadership of Rajya Sabha member Satnam Singh Sandhu.
The Medical Camp organized by the Indian Minority Federation and NID Foundation provided free consultation, medicines and health check -up services to the people affected by more than 5,000 floods.
Punjab Governor Gulb Chand Kataria participated in the event as the chief guest.
In the medical camp, doctors and paramedic staff examined the health of patients suffering from various diseases and free medicines were also distributed to the patients by the organizing committee. Testing for various diseases, including cancer, were freed from cost, and a blood donation camp was also held.
Rajya Sabha MP Satam Singh Sandhu also took on his social media to share public service photographs organized by his Federation and said that the Mega Free Medical Camp saw hundreds of people enthusiastically participated in the blood donation drive, while many others conducted their physical tests by doctors and paramedics teams.
He said that PM Modi’s life is actually a symbol of service and dedication, and “It is an inspiration for every Indian to add his birthday with the initiative for social welfare.”
“In the last 11 years, Modi ji’s leadership has completely changed India’s health system. 200 percent increase in health budget, decrease in GST on medicines, and ensuring quality and inexpensive health facilities for every citizen … all are the results of their sensitive thinking and visionary leadership,” he has written on X.
