Chennai, September 21 (IANS) DMK Deputy General Secretary and Roathukudi MP Kanimoji on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the AIADMK leadership and BJP, alleging that the opposition party in Tamil Nadu had left the ideals of its founder, and was working completely in Delhi’s Dicktats.
Addressing a public meeting at Roathukudi, Kanimoji recalled that AIADMK founder and former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran always spoke of “Annasism” while maintaining the values of CN Annadurai.
“But today, Edappi’s. Palaniswami, who calls himself the leader of AIADMK, is no longer talking about Anasm. He is talking about ‘Amit Shahism’. For every issue, they do not solve it at their headquarters in Chennai.
Kanimoji ridiculed what he had described as a surrender of AIADMK leadership, saying that the party had practically shifted its headquarters to Delhi.
“Can they breathe, even if they can talk to each other, everything is decided by Delhi. Until (Home Minister) Amit Shah gives permission, two AIADMK leaders also cannot sit together for discussion,” he accused.
The DMK leader also made his attack wider to cover the BJP.
Referring to the controversy over the large -scale deletion of names from the electoral rolls, he described the word “sir” as “Shah intense amend”.
He said, “This is happening across the state. Voters are being killed in the list in the name of amendment, but it really means that ‘Shah intensive amendment’ is being done under the pressure of BJP,” he said.
Kanimozhi further criticized people who speak about nationalism and people who speak about nationalism to remember their history and said: “Those who remember their history. The RSS has no moral right to give a lecture to anyone.”
Their comment comes at a time when the AIADMK leadership is seen maintaining close ties with the BJP despite internal dissatisfaction, and the DMK is intensifying its aggressive on both parties before the upcoming elections.
