The West Midlands police said they were investigating a malicious communication crime after a complaint from a member of the public that a fake social media account was created to send a vulgar message of “an incredibly serious nature”.

He said that viral footage was taken during a conversation with the mother of a 13 -year -old suspect during his home visit.

“We are aware of the reports that we are investigating a child to see social media posts. It is completely wrong,” he said in the statement.

“We are investigating after the complaint of a member of the public that a fake social media account was created in his name and was used to send indecent messages.

“Crime investigating crime is one of the malicious communication – sending abusive or gross aggressive communication to create crisis or anxiety. The message is of an incredibly serious nature and has created serious concern for the victim.

“Officials made several attempts to talk to a suspect, a teenage girl, as part of the investigation at the address of their home in Wallsal earlier this month.”

He said that the authorities had spoken to the girl’s mother at their home on 13 September and told that they need to talk to their daughter and recover their mobile phones as part of the investigation.

The statement said, “The next day, the girl attended a police station for a voluntary interview, and the investigation is on.”

“We know about a brief and heavy edited video clip showing part of the September 13 trip. The clip is misleading, and we reviewed video recording wearing a 10 -minute body that shows full exchange.”
