Kolkata, 20 September (IANS) In describing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the tradition within the Trinmool Congress continued with the party’s Rajya Sabha member, Ratabrata Banerjee, as an incarnation of the great and prestigious spiritual leaders of the country, being the latest in the list.
Speaking at a public rally in Bangavon ββin North 24 Parganas district, on Saturday evening, on the issue of alleged harassment of Bengali speaking people in BJP ruled states, Ritbararata Banerjee described Chief Minister Mmata Banerjee as an incarnation of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
“Mamta Banerjee is the only leader in India who united people united against communal and caste politics. Like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, millions of people follow our Chief Minister the way she moves. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu broke the obstacles of Chait.
This is not the first time that the Chief Minister was described as an incarnation of the country’s prestigious and great spiritual leaders.
In December 2023, State Education Minister Bratiya Basu also described Chief Minister Banerjee as an incarnation of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Basu’s argument was that like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Mamta Banerjee also talked about the unity of all religions and all-wishes, so that he could be considered as the right avatar of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
In December 2023, State Trinamool Congress general secretary Kunal Ghosh described Mamata Banerjee as Swami Vivekananda as Sant Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and her nephew and party general secretary Abhishek Banerjee.
“If Mamta Banerjee is Ramakrishna Parambhansa, Abhishek Banerjee is Swami Vivekananda. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa was many followers. But Swami Vivekananda was his most popular disciple. Similarly, the people of Bengal want to see the greatness of Mamata in the light of life. Ghosh said that Ghosh said that Abhishek Banerjee also said that the contribution of Mamata Banerjee for the people in Abhishek Banerjee.
Earlier in June 2022, three -time Trinumool Congress MLA Nirmal Maji of Ulubaria (North) in Howrah district described Mamata Banerjee as the wife of Ramakrishna Paramahansa and spiritual consent “Avatar of Maa Sarada”.
Maji also said that a few days before the death of Swami Vivekananda, Mother Sarda told some followers of Swamiji that when he was reborn, he would be reborn in Kalighat near the famous Kali temple.
Incidentally, Banerjee’s residence is located near the Kali temple in Kalighat.
Belur Math, the headquarters of Ramakrishna Mathematics and Ramakrishna Mission, issued a strong note of objection against such comments by Maji.
Again, in July last year, MLA from Bagda Assembly constituency in North 24 Parganas district, Biswjit Das compared the Chief Minister to Rani Rashmoni – the famous philanthropist and the founder of the prestigious Dakhineshwar Kali Temple near Kolkata is famous for his cooperation with Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.
