Rajasthan: Absconds accused in murder case arrested Rs 10,000

Jaipur, 19 September (IANS) In an important operation, the Anti-Gangter Task Force (AGTF) ​​of the Rajasthan Police has arrested Omvir Poswal, who is absconding in a serious criminal case involving murder, and a reward of Rs 10,000 was declared for his arrest.

The arrest was made as part of a concentrated drive launched under the direction of Additional Director General of Police (Crime and AGTF), Dinesh MN.

Special teams were formed for a long time to track absorption and wanted criminals.

Under the guidance of Dig Deepak Bhargava and led by ASP Siddhanat Sharma, the AGTF team received actionable intelligence information about Poswal’s movement.

Acting fast, head constable Jugan Singh and Constable Surendra Kumar caught the accused from Singhna Bus Stand (Jhunjhunu).

The crime returned on May 18, when a group of armed criminals attacked Anil Kumar and his friend Sachin near Triveni intersection in Jaipur.

The victims, who were traveling by car, were ambushed by the gang. Anil Kumar maintained a severe ax injuries on the head, while Sachin faced a fragmented hand.

The attackers also vandalized the vehicle and looted Rs 15,000 in cash.

Based on Anil Kumar’s complaint, a case was registered at Shiprapath police station under several sections, including murder, robbery and barbarity.

Omvi Poswal was identified as the main accused, leading a group of 15–20 attackers involved in the brutal attack.

ADG Dinesh MN said that AGTF had received intelligence that Poswal was traveling from Behor to Singhna (Jhunjhunu district).

Using technical surveillance equipment, the team verified their location and raised rapidly.

A joint team, including AGTF personnel and constable Rajveer Singh of Shiprapath Police Station, reached the Singhna bus stand, where they conducted a strategic operation and successfully caught the accused.

Successful arrest was the result of coordinated efforts under the command of ASP Siddhanat Sharma.

The team, including Head Constable Jugan Singh, Constable Surendra Kumar and Constable Rajveer Singh, were made commendable by the team.

Officials said the Rajasthan Police reiterated its commitment to create a rift on organized crime and ensure that the absconding criminals faced justice.
