Hyderabad, 19 September (IANS) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Friday that if US President Donald Trump does not allow Indian students in American universities, those institutions will come to India.
He revealed that he spoke to Harvard and Stanford for an initiative in this regard. He also claimed that the London School of Economics wants to come to Telangana.
The Chief Minister was addressing the 12th annual conference of India’s public affairs forum in New Delhi.
“If Trump does not want to allow Indians, they are going to come to universities. We have a place for the best American universities and manufacturing,” he said.
Criticizing Trump for implementing 50 percent tariffs and their other decisions, Revanth Reddy said that these decisions would affect the American economy and not the Indian economy.
“One day, he says that Modiji is my friend, and the next day, he says that I will impose 50 percent tax on India. Such arbitrary decisions do not work,” he said
“There was also a trump in Telangana, but he was removed by the people,” he his predecessor, K. Made an attack on Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR).
The Chief Minister said, “Trump dreams, and the next day he tries to implement it. It does not work. The problem may occur for a few days.”
He commented that the government may not be based on impulsive decisions, but it requires vision, planning and constant effort.
The Chief Minister stressed that political will is necessary for effective governance and emphasized the responsibility of the government to create opportunities for future generations.
He said that to ensure Telangana’s all-round progress, his government has prepared the Telangana Vision Document-2047, which will be formally released on December 9, 2025.
In detail on the developmental roadmap of the government, he said that Telangana has been classified in core urban, semi-urban and rural areas for balanced development.
About one crore people live in the main urban areas, where polluting industries are being transferred outside the city. Semi-urban areas are being designated as manufacturing hubs.
CM Revantha Reddy said that Hyderabad Metro Rail will be expanded from 70 km to 150 km, in which the daily riders will be targeted to increase from 5 lakh to 15 lakhs. He believed that the Mussi River Rejuvenation Project would change the Riverfront on the lines of Sabarmati Riverfront. High corridors are under construction to reduce urban mobility. He said that by 2027, there will be dominance of electric vehicles in Hyderabad, which is supported by government incentives.
Regional Ring Road and Bharat Future city projects will shape long -term infrastructure needs, with connectivity plan for airport and a Greenfield Expressway and Machiliptam port are planned through a parallel railway line.
He mentioned that Telangana produces 40 percent of India’s bulk drugs and is a global leader in Hyderabad vaccine production. Telangana drug ranks first in the country in its efforts to erase danger. The government is committed to promoting organic farming and increasing full support and safety to investors.
He invited global and domestic investors not only to invest in Telangana, but also to become the brand ambassador of the state.
On human capital development, CM Revantha Reddy said that the government has announced the establishment of the Skills University of Youth India, which is to equip Mahatma Gandhi with the industry-inspired industry-skills inspired by the spirit of India. Young India Sports University is being started with a vision to enable Indian athletes to achieve success in the Olympics, taking inspiration from countries like South Korea.
