Amravati, September 18 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Thursday passed a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the next-gene GST reforms.
Andhra Pradesh has become the first state in the country to pass such a resolution.
Speaking on the resolution, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that correction will simplify the structure, reduce compliance on businesses, increase transparency, and directly benefit the common man.
“The Andhra Pradesh Assembly praised its warmth and directly congratulated the Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi ji for reducing the GST rate rationalism on landmark decisions taken by the 56th GST Council. “Reads the resolution.
“This historical reform will further strengthen cooperative federalism, ease of trade, promote trade pace, and support labor-intensive areas. It will promote consumption, promote investment, and contribute to the continuous development trajectory of our country’s economy.
“We also thank the Honorable Union Finance Minister Srimiramala Sithraman ji for his exemplary leadership for their exemplary leadership for these reforms. The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly warmly welcomed this reform and raised its full support in more and more good implementation for people and economy.
Naidu said that GST reforms will benefit all sections of the country and will help in achieving double digits growth in the country.
They believe that GST reforms will increase the Indian economy by Rs 2 lakh crore.
He said that GST reforms gave people an opportunity to celebrate the upcoming Dasra, Diwali and other festivals with a decrease in the prices of essential commodities in a true spirit. He said that 5-tier GST will improve the complications in the structure by improving the structure, and there will be no harassment of the authorities as they are implicated in a more transparent manner.
The Chief Minister said that he is going to create a cabinet sub-committee and is going to prepare an action plan to forward GST reforms and bring awareness among the people.
He said that GST reforms should be imagined and an opportunity should be used to achieve a growth rate of 15 percent in Andhra Pradesh. He also called for organizing GST awareness program from 22 September to 20 October in the state. Explaining the benefits of GST reforms to members through PowerPoint presentation, the Chief Minister said that he will always be at the forefront of introducing reforms in technology or economy.
He said that the GST deductions from 28 percent to 12 percent and 18 percent to 0 percent on some essential commodities indicate the Prime Minister’s commitment to protect the interests of the common man. He said that all 140 crore people will benefit from GST reforms.
He said that the bold reforms launched by PM Modi will leave their impact on every house with lower prices and at the same time, the increase in business and increase in purchasing power will win the trust of traders.
Naidu said that GST deduction will pave the way for increase in health, agriculture, dairy, education and many other fields. He said that despite the fears of the Finance Department on GST reforms, he welcomed the reforms with the purpose of a nation -one vision for the development of the country.
Expressing concern over the absence of YSRCP MLA in the assembly session, the Chief Minister said that political parties should expand cooperation for the benefit of society. The absence of YSRCP MLA is unfortunate to welcome GST reforms. The MLA should participate in the assembly session as it represents 5 crore people. He said that all MLAs should bring awareness among people on the benefits of GST reforms.
