Gorakhpur family demanded an encounter after killing cattle smugglers NEET Aspirant

Gorakhpur, September 18 (IANS) The family of 19 -year -old Any -year -old Aspirant Deepak Gupta, who was allegedly killed by cattle smugglers in Gorakhpur, has demanded a fast and stringent action from the police and called for an ‘encounter’ of the accused.

Gorakhpur police on Wednesday (September 17) arrested the prime accused, Rahm Khan after an encounter, in which he suffered injuries. Khan was admitted to the hospital for treatment, and police said they recovered a pistol and a motorcycle from them.

Authorities have named several suspects in the case and have still announced a large -scale reward for those with five dedicated teams raids to catch them.

Despite the arrest, the bereaved family said that they were dissatisfied with delay in police action and want to take strict measures. They also demand that the remaining accused be arrested as soon as possible.

Talking to IANS, Deepak’s mother demanded a harsh punishment for the accused.

“We want them to die in the same way that they killed our child. We want justice from the Chief Minister for innocent child.

An uncle of the deceased described the annoying incident and accused the smugglers of attacking the family when Deepak tried to intervene.

He said, “They took our child with them when they tried to stop the smugglers. They then killed him. There were 6-7 people in a vehicle and some others. They have killed our child, and now, we demand fair justice. We want an encounter,” he told IANS.

Uncle said he was present during the attack and was threatened at gunpoint, but managed to survive. He and other family members angry with the authorities at the alleged slow response and urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to assure him of decisive action.

“He was just 19 years old, and we lost him. We are not happy with this action at all, and we demand that CM Yogi meet us and assures us that strict action will be taken against the accused. It has been four days of the incident, but he has not yet come to our house.

The police have not further released operational details as the raids continue to proceed to the remaining suspects and investigation.
