Fourth death this week was swept away in flood waters in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, September 18 (IANS) A 27 -year -old man was swept away in flood waters in Hyderabad late Wednesday while returning home on his motorcycle. The incident occurred under the Balkampet Bridge Underpass at the center of the city, as another magic of heavy rains surrounded the city.

Mohammad Sharfuddin, who was returning home in Kavadiguda on his scooter, fell into the water that stabilized and washed under the bridge.

According to the police, some local youth later retrieved their bodies. The deceased was an employee in a company that manufactures prostheses in Balnagar. Like every day, he was returning home from his workplace.

On a complaint by Sharfuddin’s family, SR Nagar Police registered a case and investigated.

Shafuddin was the fourth person to be washed into flood waters this week. On Sunday night, three people were swept away to uproot the drains in two separate incidents after a heavy fall. His body is not yet known.

Arjun (26) and his relative Ramu (25) were washed in flood waters in Afzalsagar Nala in Malpali, while Dinesh (24), who was washed in a drain in Vinoba Nagar in Mushirabad area of ​​Secondarbad, was also unpublished.

Heavy rains once again dropped the city in roads and at least areas on Wednesday night. Rain water entered homes in some colonies in the city, while the vehicle traffic was interrupted. Due to severe waterfall, motorists were caught in traffic jams for 3-4 hours.

Motilal in Begumpet was submerged in Nehru Nagar Colony and people could not get out because rainwater filled the cellar of apartment buildings and houses. Residents of the old CBI quarters in Khairatabad also made one night sleep as water entered their homes.

After heavy rains in Hyderabad, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed the officials to be vigilant. All department heads were ordered to work in coordination and ensure that people do not face difficulties.

The Chief Minister directed the police, hydra and the traffic wings of the city to deploy teams in areas that were flooded. GHMC and Energy Departments were also ordered to conduct immediate relief in flood affected settlements.

The Chief Minister advised the people to be cautious in low-to-death areas and not to get out of their homes until there is an emergency.
