IIM-JAMMU, ICMAI signed mou for cooperation in academics, research and training

Jammu, September 17 (IANS) Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with India’s Institute of Cost Accountants (ICMAI).

A statement released on Wednesday mentions that cooperation management is an important step towards promoting excellence in education, research, training and professional development.

“MOU signing ceremony was done by the Department of Prof. BS Sahey, Director, IIM Jammu; CMA Navanit Kumar Jain, Council members, ICMAI; and CMA Dr. Debaprosanna Nandi, Secretary (Officers), ICMAI, Rajesh Talwar, Director Finance, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Department of Finance, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Department of Finance, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Department of Finance, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

“The MoU was formally signed by CMDR. Kesavan Basakkaran (R), Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) IIM Jammu, and CMA Dr. Debprosanna Nandi, Secretary (Acting), ICMAI, IIM Jammu and ICMAI today, in the presence of senior officials of IIM Jammu and ICMAI,”

Apart from this, senior faculty members of IIM Jammu were also present.

“The MoU underlines a framework of collaboration between two major institutions, making them jointly able to design and distribute and distribute the design and management development programs (MDP), special training programs, executive education and faculty development programs.

“It further paves the way for knowledge exchange through research cooperation, joint seminars, conferences, workshops, course development and educational resource sharing,” read the statement.

Director of IIM Jammu Prof.. BS Sahey emphasized that the MoU with India’s Institute of Cost Accountants has shown a comprehensive approach to IIM Jammu’s academic excellence, research-run innovation and an ecosystem forming in an ecosystem.

“He noticed that cooperation would not only strengthen academic and research relations between two institutions, but would also create a platform for the nurture of professionals and leaders with correct knowledge, values ​​and skills to resolve the emerging challenges of a rapidly changing economy.

“He further stated that under this MoU, the initiative will bring long -term benefits to students, industry professionals and society. CMA Navneet Kumar Jain, Council Member, ICMAI observed that MoU represents a strategic step in advancing professional education and preparing future talent in cost and management accounting,” the statement has been said.

He said that by sharing academic resources, research insights and special training methods, cooperation will help to bridge the significant skill intervals in the profession. He further emphasized that the partnership will enable professionals to be able to further develop in a fast -paced business environment, promote efficiency and innovation in industry practices and promote the culture of continuous learning and development in areas.

Pro. Zabir Ali, Dean, Faculty and Research, IIM Jammu, said that the partnership will strengthen the institute’s research ecosystem, enrich the course design, and create new opportunities for innovation. “He insisted that it helps to design such cooperation. In areas of mutual interest, including research projects, faculty exchange and access to shared academic resources.

The statement said, “This partnership underlines the role of ICMAI as a legal body responsible for developing and regulating the profession of cost account in India, and the role of ICMAI,” said in the statement.
