Ajmer, 17 September (IANS) Ajmer Dargah successor Sajjadashinin and President of All India Sufi Sajjadashin Council, Syed Naseruddin Chishti, greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, who appreciates India’s strong global identity and appreciates his role.
Born on 17 September 1950, in Mehsana, Gujarat, PM Modi first made prominence as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, served three consecutive terms from 2001 to 2014. Since being elected Prime Minister in 2014, he has now recorded his third term at the top of the country.
Talking to IANS, Syed Nasruddin Chishti said, “Today, the people of the country are celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. I wish him my heartfelt congratulations on this special day and wish him all the Almighty for PM Modi’s long and healthy life.”
The 75th birthday of the Prime Minister is being marked nationwide through BJP’s ‘Seva Pakhwada’, which has converted the occasion into a national festival. From the whole of India, with various service-oriented events showing the ethos of the campaign, tributes and greetings to the leader.
Commenting on ceremonies, Chishti said, “The whole country is looking at the Prime Minister’s birthday as ‘Seva Pakhwada’. The whole nation is celebrating and giving back this day as a time to serve. It also reflects PM Modi’s dedication to take the country forward and make a strong impression of India on the global stage.”
He also applauded PM Modi’s Leadership in Promoting Inclusion through the Principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Samman’.
Recalling the involvement of the Prime Minister, he said, “I want the Prime Minister to take India forward with the idea of ’Saba Sixty, Saba Vikas, Saba Viswas, Saba Samman’ and recalls the leader’s comment for Muslim children, saying that he wants to see the Quran in one hand.”
Meanwhile, as part of the ceremonies, more than one lakh health camps are being organized across the country from 17 September to 2 October, which is being described as India’s largest health outreach campaign.
These camps are offering women-centric preventives, campaigners and remedial health services, including screening for non-communicable diseases, anemia, tuberculosis and sickle cell disease. Mother and adolescent health check -up, vaccination and nutrition consultation are also being provided as part of the drive.
