Rajasthan CM wished PM Modi a happy birthday, ‘Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan’ launched

Jaipur, 17 September (IANS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday. The day was marked with service activities across the state as part of ‘Seva Pakhwada’.

Leading the campaign in jaipur, Chief Minister Sharma launched the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan’ at City Park in Mansarovar.

He joined citizens in cleaning the park premises and planted saplings by spreading the message of environmental protection and community participation.

Addressing the gathering, he administered the ‘cleanliness pledge’, asked people to actively contribute not only an activity but also a way of life, and a clean India.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also unveiled the new sewerage policy of the state with the aim of improving urban hygiene and sewer management. He distributed PPP kits to sanitation workers, recognized his role as frontline contributors for public health, and honored the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.

In a gesture of Prime Minister Modi’s humble beginning, CM Sharma later visited a roadside tea stall in Shiprapath, Mansarovar. There, he increased his sleeves to prepare tea, served it to the audience, and sat with the public to share a cup.

He paid digitally through UPI, underlining the government’s commitment to promote digital transactions at the ground level.

During the visit, he directed the local councilor to ensure that tea vendors and cart owners in the area were associated with the Prime Minister’s Swayamnidhi Yojana, which is a plan designed to support road sellers with financial assistance and economic stability.

Across Rajasthan, cleanliness drives, tree plantation programs and welfare activities were held on Wednesday as part of ‘Seva Pakhwada’, which was aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s service and social responsibility.
