Major discovery: Curcumin dismisses Plessbo and matches Diclofenac

At the end of the 12-week study, the Curcumin group showed significant improvement in pain decrease compared to the placebo group. In particular, Curcumin improves VAS pain by –9.1 mm (95% CI ,.817.8 from .0.4 mm; p = 0.039). Additionally, the Curcumin Group reported to take less pain drugs than the placebo group, especially notable that in view of the possible side effects of pain drugs such as ibuprofen, which can disrupt the intestine health.

While Curcumin did not affect the flow of the knee -synovitis volume or cartilage structure, it improved the osteoarthritis index (Womac) knee pain of Western Ontario and McMaster universities. Safety and side effects

The occurrence of adverse events was the same in both Curcumin and Placebo groups (respectively 39% and 53%, respectively). Only two events in the Curcumin group and five in the placebo group were possibly considered to be related to treatment.
