A powerful solar storm meant Northern Lights Were appearing across OK and parts of Ireland overnightIt is probably visible again on Tuesday.
The solar phenomenon usually appears the most in the ororel oval – a ring of light around the Iceland and the polar cap – although it can be seen in the north sometimes. Only rare and more severe space weather conditions can be seen light throughout the UK.
On Monday night, Stargazers reported a darshan of colorful spectacle in the north-east ScotlandNorthern England And Midlands – and in Ireland is pulling south as West Cork. Meteorological Office Said that the resulting geomagnetic activity Arora may appear ahead in the south, provided the sky is dark and clear.
Places in North America, such as Alaska and Ontario, also saw solar spectacles, many residents shared pictures on the social media of the brightly colored sky.
Here you should know what you should know about the possibilities of seeing northern lights on Tuesday night.

How to see it
While looking at Arora Borelis in Britain is rare, there is a greater chance to see solar experience in the northern regions compared to the south.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the night -time conditions in Britain are determined for deteriorating, but the northern Scotland and England are predicted to have a clear sky. Between a half and full moon, the position of viewing due to a waxing gibbous moon can still be interrupted, which may disrupt the clear ideas of Arora in areas with additional light pollution.
Photography can help to see the colorful spectacle, recommend people with Royal Photography Society to aim to a clear sky without any air, and find a “dark sky” location with low light pollution.
“Look for an interesting foreground, such as trees, which will create silhouettes in the sky,” society advises. “Or use a lake or water, which will create reflection and make for a more interesting picture. Over time, you can experiment with adding light from a strobe or LED lamp to expand the foreground.”
When to see it

According to the Met Office, the northern lights are the most active around March and April, or September and October during Equinox and Sankranti. The best chance to see Arora was Monday night, but Tuesday and Wednesday also has a small chance.
In more marginal locations, further in south or urban areas, light pollution will play an important role in determining whether Arora can be seen.
Met Office Space Weather Manager Christa Hamond said: “The forecasts can change rapidly, so we encourage the public to stay updated with the latest information.”
According to the British Geological Survey, the best possibility of looking at Arora is usually around midnight hours, between 10PM and 2am, although it can appear at any time during the night based on geomagnetic activity.

Why is this happening
Monday’s impressive performance was caused by a rapidly growing coronal mass ejection – the release of the plasma and magnetic fields from the Sun’s corona – late on Saturday, on Saturday and the beginning of Tuesday’s beginning to reach the Earth.
The forecaster stated that after the arrival of the coronal mass ejection, “a significant growth of the Orral Oval is likely,” potentially continues on Wednesday. These ejections can travel at a speed of several million kilometers per hour and interact with the magnetic field of the planet when directed to Earth. This interaction can trigger geomagnetic storms, which in turn can produce Arora’s display.
Northern light colors are made when charged particles collide with other molecules in the atmosphere, emit light to give additional energy.
According to the British Geological Survey, the color of light depends on the affected molecules. The atmosphere has its special colors of oxygen, nitrogen and other gases, resulting in the boundary of blues, greens, yellows and reds seen in the Arora.
