America wants Iran to be "obedient", will stand firmly against this "great insult": Silence

On Sunday, the supreme leader Ayatollah issued a strong warning to Ali Khamenei to the United States, saying that the US wants Tehran to be “obedient”, but the Iranians will stand against those with “all their strength” against those who bother such “false hope”.

Speaking on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the eighth Shia Imam, Imam Reza (PBUH), Ayatollah Khamenei said that Iran is “deeply angry with”.

He said, “America wants Iran to be obedient to this. The Iranian nation is deeply angry with such a great insult and will stand with all its strength against those who reduce such false expectations of Iranian people.”

Khamenei insisted that America’s enmity towards Iran is not an incident recently, as various US administration has continued to have a consistent stand on enmity, sanctions and threats against the Islamic Republic and Iranian people since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

He criticized those who advocate direct conversations with Washington, calling them “shallow minds”.

Earlier, the causes of this enmity were often uncovered under various pretex, such as terrorism, human rights, women’s issues and democracy, Ayatollah Khamenei.

However, he said, the current US administration has clarified its real objective as it has been said that Iran’s opposition is aroused by the desire of American demands being obedient for the nation.

According to IRNA, Khameni has asked the Iranians to maintain their unity in front of increasing external pressures.

Khamenei urged all people, officials and intellectuals to preserve and strengthen the iron shield of current great national unity. He also said that all people and groups should support the hardworking President Masaud Peseshkian.

The supreme leader of Iran also highlighted that Tehran’s enemies felt through the firmness and powerful unity and armed forces of the nation that the Iranian people and the Islamic system could not be subdued or commanded through war. (AI)
