The new pole finds a slightly ahead of liberals for the first time in months.

A new survey shows that for the first time after the election, the Conservative Party has pulled forward the liberals with the intention of the national voter.

Abacus data poll held last week This suggests that if an election was held today, 41 percent of the voters will vote for the conservatives, which is a percentage point, while the Liberal support has slipped four points, below 39 percent, as the question was asked at the beginning of the month.

It is worth noting that the conservative leader Pierre Poilev’s victory in the last week’s Alberta by -election is not in this survey, as it turned to the end of the voting period.

Carney has retained himself a favorite rate of +18, which has been unchanged since most of the election, while Pilevre’s favoriteness remains on rating -2.

The change in the voter’s intentions is associated with the fact that many Canadian US President Donald Trump and his tariffs do not see the danger as number one concern that increases the issues of strength.

In the survey, 60 percent of Canadian people see the increasing cost of life as number one concern. While Trump remains a top concern between more than a third of Canadian (38 percent), he is closely carried out after a broad economy (36 percent), housing strength (35 percent) and healthcare (33 percent) – all issues in which conservative liberals lead to orthodox liberals.

While Trump’s impact as a political issue in Canada is decreasing, 56 percent of them liked liberals when it comes to deal with unexpected American leader.

“The Carney government still enjoys a concrete approval rating, Prime Minister Carney is personally preferred, and the generous brand is widely accessible,” said David Colato, CEO of Abacus.

“But the cost of living crunch and constant disappointment around the housing may be worn on that goodwill.”

The pole was held between 15 and 19 August between random samples of 1,915 Canadians. It has a margin of +/- 2.2 percent error, 19 out of 20 times.
