I want to share some updates with you in another big week for the FBI’s “Summer Heat” initiative to crush violent crime.
Our agents and partners around the world worked together to arrest a person trying to woo a minor after fleeing from America to avoid allegations in @Fbijacksonville Investigation.
@FBIALBANY reports where the operation tide wave is crushing violent crime in the area. Alone in Albani this week, 200 law enforcement partners of 20 agencies made several arrests, including the owner/operator of a commercial sex enterprise. This investigation seized more than 130 weapons — one of the largest firearms in the history of the northern district of New York.
-@FBIFO Washington continues to support law enforcement in DC, deploying teams of special agents on patrol changes at night.
-We are wreaking havoc in many major players of many neighborhood gangs across the country — to smuggle, robbery, attack, murder and human trafficking of drugs. In addition, another arrest was one of our top 10 fugitives, Cindy Rodriguez Singh, the fourth top 10 from January.
This week, the FBI and our colleagues made 180 arrests, which exceeded 4,700 since the introduction of “Summer Heat”. Overall, we have also taken more than 1,000 weapons on the roads and recovered 270 children.
We are committed to fighting violent crimes with our federal, state and local partners, protecting our communities and maintaining the rule of law. Together, we are making real progress.
