Sia Kashmir Nabs is connected to Hizb -ul-Mujahiden sleeper cell to Ogw Shopian

Srinagar, 23 August (KDC): State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir caught an over ground worker (OGW) from Shopian, who accused the accused of working as a sleeper cell for the accused terrorist organization Hizab-ul-Mujahideen.

In a statement by the news agency Kashmir.com (KDC), Sia said that the arrested person has been identified as Altaf Hussain Vage, who is a resident of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Vage’s son, Rebon Gund, Behram Shopian. According to the SIA, the arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation involved in the FIR number 01/2025 registered under Section 13, 18, 18-B, 38, 39 in Police Station CI/Sia Kashmir.

During the investigation, SIA stated that it had collected enough evidence to operate Wagay’s direct link from across the border with a Hizb-U-Mujahiden handler. Acting on the instructions of the handler, the OGW was involved in allegedly orchestrating terror-related activities, spreading anti-India propaganda and advancing separatist narratives.

Sia said that Vagas were “actively engaged in terrorist conspiracy and promoting illegal activities” with the intention of challenging India’s sovereignty and regional integrity “. According to the agency, the purpose of his actions was to incite disagree, create public disorders and promote communal stress.

Officials further disclosed that the arrest symbolizes a network of highly radical sleeper cells allegedly sharing separatist content, maintaining links with Pakistan-based terrorist handlers and gaining support from Pakistan intelligence agencies. (KDC)
