Court documents expand the months of month-long surveillance of the Queback terrorist suspects

Web Desk, 22/08/2025

Montreal- The newly issued court documents show how the police spent months to monitor four people accused in an anti-government conspiracy in Quebec.

Police affidavits dating from January 2024 describe how members of the “Pro-Gan Extremist Terrorist Group” allegedly bought firearms and participated in military style training in Quebec and Ontario.

One of them talked about the importance of publicly armed and not relying on the government, and warned about the possibility of another vako siege.

In July, the police arrested four members of the group in an alleged plan to forcibly occupy land in the city area. Simon Anger-Odate, 24; Rafael Lagke, 25; And 24-year-old Mark-Orley Chabot has been accused of facilitating a terrorist activity. They are also facing arms allegations with fourth man, Matthew Forbes, 33. Chabott and Forbes are members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

The RCMP operation began in March 2023 after a tip from Canadian Safety Intelligence Service, showing court documents. A redeemable letter by the Intelligence Agency states that Chabot was the leader of a group of current and former military members called Hyde and Stalk.

The subsequent investigation called Project Supian included heavy monitoring including aerial and GPS tracking, informer, undercover agents and bank records.

Documents alleged that Chabot was running an Instagram account, called hide_n_stalk, focused on military training, responsibility and long distance shooting. The account posted pictures of group members and caught long guns and wearing military camouflage uniforms, wearing “HS” patches on their arms.

In May 2023, a group of 17 people, including members of the Hyde and Stalk, were found in a hunting area near the city of Quebec, called the ZC Batisan-Neelson, the affidavits say. In three days, he practiced military-style drill and shooting, monitoring him by air monitoring with RCMP. The police later collected bullet casting on the site.

A photo of the training session posted on Instagram shows a member of the group that the documents say “white power” symbol with his hand.

Next month, Podcast modern Canadian shooter, a member of the Chabot details, while matching the hidden and stalk during an appearance on the claim of The affidavits, gave more information in the group’s ideology. He talked about creating a community to protect the loved ones from the overrech of the government, and accused political leaders of lying and being incredible.

The documents stated that their ideas have been aligned with far-flung or accelerating ideology, which “described as a belief organized by white nationalists that will give rise to a white ethnic-state to accelerate the fall of society through violence.”

According to the excerpt in court documents, “it is easy to control a canceled population.” “I have seen how the government works and I do not want to do it more.”

He went to warn against “coming after the prepared friends”, as it could be “another walk” – possibly a reference to the Dead 1993 siege of a heavy armed religious creed in Texas.

In August 2023, the Intelligence Agency alerted the RCMP that hiding and stalk rolftton plans another training weekend near Onts. The documents alleged that 17 people participated, including Chabott and Anger-Odds.

A third training session took place in September 2023 in a mine outside the city of Quebec owned by Lagaked, in which all four accused participated, saying affidavits.

The documents also stated that an informer told the police that Forbes was in the possession of the firearms and was involved in the smuggling of weapons. Another informer told the police that members of the Hidden & Stalk had automatic weapons and a single member could have firearms and other equipment of $ 30,000 to $ 40,000.

In September 2023, an undercover agent bought night-vision goggles from Forbes.

The four accused allegedly made a financial transaction of over $ 480,000 between January 2020 and June 2023, saying affidavits say “were inconsistent relative to their clear financial situation.”

The investigation was going on in January 2024, when the former-partner of Lagakes told 911 that he was in possession of illegal weapons and made suicidal comments. In response, the Quebec City Police seized ammunition from more than 50 firearms and lagkes.

Shortly thereafter, RCMP filed affidavits to apply for a search warrant in relation to four men. This caused 16 explosive equipment seizure, about 11,000 rounds of ammunition and other weapons.

No allegations against four people have been proved in court. Earlier this month, a judge denied bail for allegations of three terrorism. Forbes was granted bail under a long list of conditions in July, including wearing GPS tracking bracelets.

The accused are set to return to court on 12 September for the next stages in their case.
