Cloudbers killed Katua and installment, Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta said that at least seven people have died in Katua, and the number of deaths in Kishtwar is still increasing.
Gupta said that the government is making every effort to support the families of the victims.

Flash floods and landslides occurred in many parts of Kathua after cloudburst on Sunday. Rescue operations have intensified, and efforts are underway to recover stranded vehicles.
At least seven people died in landslides beginning due to heavy rains. Cloudbers in Kathua, which took place on Saturday and Sunday night, also damaged a railway track, national highway and local police station. Officials said on Sunday that rescue and relief operations are going on in Katua and installment.
After Claudbers and landslides, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Central Government is closely monitoring the situation and assured all possible support.
In a post on X, Shah wrote, “Talked with Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir about Cloudbers in Kathua. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out by the local administration, and NDRF teams have also been taken to the site. We were forced to support the Modi government.”
In Kishtwar, Atal Dulu, Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir and Kashmir, on Sunday confirmed that 61 people lost their lives in the Cloudburst and Flash Flood incident, while 116 persons have been rescued so far.
Addressing the media, Chief Secretary Dulu said, “… 61 people have lost their lives in the incident. Security forces and various agencies have launched a collective discovery and rescue operation. CISF, J&K Police, CRPF, BRO, Indian Army and NHPC were present on the spot soon after the incident.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) MK YADAV said that rescue operations are going on and efforts are being made to detect and save those who are still missing. (AI)
