The federal government orders binding mediation to resolve the Air Canada labor dispute

Ottawa – The federal government is interfering with an air Canada and the union representing the flying attendants to resolve a labor dispute.

Job Minister Patty Hazdu says that he has ordered the binding arbitration and operation to resume.

The union, representing more than 10,000 flight attendants with Air Canada, announced that its members were feeling influenced by passengers around the world after their members were unable to reach the eleventh hour deal with the airline.

The strike officially started before 1 pm on Saturday and in return, Air Canada closed its agents after about 30 minutes due to the strike action.

More is coming.
