China is taking its controversy with Canada over Steel Tariff for World Trade Organization.
Beijing today filed a complaint with the first WTO in response to Canadian sanctions, in which steel was melted or dumped in China.
Prime Minister Mark Carney announced last month that he was applying 25 percent of Serpax to Chinese steel products, which were to protect the domestic industry in front of the American tariff.
But China says that according to the translation of a statement released by the Ministry of Chinese Commerce, duties are “discriminatory”.
China says it is disappointed by the move to put tariffs and urge Canada “to fix its wrong actions.”
The Canadian trade dispute with China is increasing this week when Beijing imposed a tariff of about 76 percent on Canadian canola seeds-a clear response to a 100 percent ongoing tariffs on electric vehicles manufactured by the Chinese of Canada.
