Budgam Police Nab Drug Paler, seize Charas in Hardpanzu

Budgam, August 11, KDC: Continuing his cracks on drug pedaling, the Budgam police arrested a person in the Hardpanzu area and recovered the contradiction from his possession.

Police said that a team of Police Post Hardpenzu led by HC Ali Mohammed had set up a checkpoint in village Dasan when a motorcycle driver (registration number JK04B-7830) tried to run away to spot Naka. He was stopped and caught.

On finding it, the police recovered three rods of a charas -like substance, which wrapped in corn straw, weighing about 60 grams. The accused was identified as Shahnawaz Ahmed Shah, son of Ghulam Mohammad Shah, a resident of Hardu-Laqa. The motorcycle used in crime was confiscated.

A case under Section 8/20 of NDPS Act, FIR No. 109/2025 has been registered at Police Station Birwah, and further investigation is on.

The Budgam police urged the public to cooperate in the anti -drug campaign by sharing information about drug related activities in their areas. (KDC)
