The BC Wildfier that forces withdrawal in the Okegon region is now being held

A forest fire in the interior of British Columbia has forced the strategic withdrawal of about 25 houses over the weekend, which is now being organized.

The BC Wildfire Service states that classification means that Kelona, BC, does not expect to grow nearly 2.5 hectares of fire, its current perimeter.

All the residents vacated on Sunday can now return home, although the Central Okagon emergency operations say that three addresses have been placed on alert to prepare for possible withdrawal on short notice again.

Wildfire service warned that warm, dry and curved weather in the southern BC could accelerate fire behavior, while a cold front can also bring winds and further fuel blazes later in the week.

On the Vancouver Island, the Wesley Ridge Wildfire is still burning near the Cameron Lake, which is after withdrawal and alert forced.

The wildfire service dashboard is reporting about 100 active fire in the province, a similar number has been declared in the last seven days.
