Police bust rotten meat supply chain in hotels in Srinagar; Two booked

The police allege that Kucha, along with Arif Ahmed Shah, a resident of Bagat Barzullah, was involved in distributing meat unfit for large quantities of human consumption, pose a serious threat to public health.

The case emerged during a joint drive by the Srinagar Police and Food Safety Department, which is to crack down on the sale of unhealthy and expired meat products. Raids were conducted at several places in the city, resulting in a sufficient amount of rotten meat on the spot under the Food Safety and Standards Act.
