IGP Kashmir I-Day reviews security arrangements for function

Srinagar, Aug 08, KDC: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone VK Burdi-IPS presided over a security review meeting in Police Control Room Kashmir to review the overall security scenario and arrangement about the celebration of Independence Day and the celebrations of related events.

At the beginning of the meeting, IGP Kashmir was informed by officials on security and deployment schemes to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of upcoming incidents. The VK Burdy instructed all the participating officers to ensure that the necessary preparations were completed in advance.

During the meeting, the IGP assigned specific responsibilities to various officers, issued clear instructions to execute their tasks with an accurate and complete plan. Additional instructions were provided about the major logical arrangements to facilitate the uninterrupted execution of events.

IGP Kashmir directed the authorities to strengthen security posts, especially during night hours, at weak places and with the entry and exit routes of the city. He emphasized the need for strict vigilance against the elements that pose a threat to peace and safety. The VK Burdi also underlined the importance of maintaining high level vigilance and increasing area domination within its respective courts.

In addition, IGP Kashmir reviewed the safety measures applicable for conservation of highways, railway tracks and railway stations in the valley.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment for vigilance, better coordination and effective execution of safety protocols to ensure peaceful and systematic conduct of all scheduled events. (KDC)
