Atlanta (AP) – Emory University alerted students and employees to an active shooter in their Atlanta campus on Friday, asked students to “run, hide, fight” and escape the area.
The Atlanta police said they were responding to the report of an active shooter.
Near the campus, a daily employees closed the doors and got down. Brandi Girldo, General Miur’s Chief Operating Officer, said the employees inside heard a string of gunshot.
“It looked like fireworks, after another,” he said.
