Sopore Police has held a joint security review meeting before Independence Day

The meeting was chaired by SSP Sopore and 22 RR, 52 RR, and 32 RR Commanding Officers, 92BN, 177BN, and 179 BN CRPF Commandant, Intelligence Agencies Officer, SP Oms Supor, as well as all SDPOS, DIPOS, and Police District Shoses.

A threadbare discussion on the major programs prescribed before August 15 and the main Independence Day celebrations in Sopore were held. Detailed security aspects including NAKA points, high-growing deployment, drone monitoring, ASHI vehicle patrol, anti-repotation check (ASC), domination of the region and intelligence coordination were considered.

Special emphasis was laid on the perception of danger, recent terrorist movement, and the need for continuous preventive area domination in Sopore and Rafiabad. All stakeholders confirmed their collective commitment to ensure the peaceful, safe and grand celebrations of Independence Day across the district.

The Sopore Police reiterated its resolve to maintain security preparations, public participation and high-agency coordination in the run-up for Independence Day 2025. (KDC)
