Instagram rolled out new 'Repost', 'Interactive Map', and 'Friend Tab' features

Instagram has launched three new major features for its users – Repost, Interactive Map and Friends Tab -.

Repost feature will help users share the content of others with their own followers and friends. The facility will credits the original poster.

The ‘Interactive Map’ feature will remind you of Snapchat Map. With this option, anyone can share their last active location with a chosen group of friends. The user can see their locations and materials that they have posted from interesting places. In addition, this feature is designed with safety, which is the priority of supervised adolescent accounts, if their child’s location turns into sharing.

Instagram said, “Share the location with friends and see what is happening around you on the Instagram map. And if you are a supervised parent set for your teenager, you have control over whether they can share their place, and whom they are sharing,” Instagram said.

The maps feature is closed until the users choose to share the location.

Friends tab within the reels helps users to see what their friends have liked, commented, or recommended through mixtures.

On Wednesday, Instagram shared these updates through an official blog post, with a reel of the platform chief Adam Mosari, where he opened in detail about the new features. ,
