DGP Independence Day 2025, reviews security in view of other upcoming incidents

Srinagar, Aug 04: Nalin Prabhat, Director General of Police J&K, chaired a security review meeting in view of the upcoming programs in the conference hall of PCR Kashmir today.

Initially, the Director General of Police was informed about the safety situation prevalent in the central region by the Zonal Inspector General and the heads of various wings. Senior officials of the Intelligence Wing also presented their assessments and informed the DGP on relevant developments. During the meeting, the authorities discussed the recent security development as well as the current challenges as well as measures to combat these challenges. DGP J&K emphasized the need to review and increase the security plans and design the effective counter rebel strategies for smooth and peaceful conduct of events.

The DGP instructed the authorities to increase monitoring of anti-national elements and increase the dominance of the region in their respective areas. He also emphasized the need to increase the safety of weak goals and ensure a foolish security system. DGP J&K directed the district heads to closely monitor social media platforms to prevent any effort to spread public safety and order affecting the order.

The meeting concluded with the resolve to ensure increased vigilance, better coordination and effective implementation of security measures to maintain peace and security in the valley.
