Viksit Bharat @2047- Yuva Connect Program: Inter-College Debate Competition Held at Sp College Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 04, KDC: An inter-college debate competition on the theme ‘Strong Young Minds for a Development India’ was successfully held at Sri Pratap College, Srinagar, which is under the aegis of Vikit Bharat @2047 Youth Connect Program, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Pro. (Dr.) Mohammad Mobin, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Srinagar, was the chief guest on the occasion. Giving an inspirational inaugural speech, he emphasized the role of youth in shaping a developed and progressive India.

In his address, Dr. Seema Naz, Dean Academic Affairs, Cluster University Srinagar, advocated passion for youth empowerment and warned against the increasing threat to drug abuse. He urged the students to channel their energy in nation-building activities, educational excellence and social responsibility rather than falling victim to disastrous habits.

The debate competition, characteristic of 16 talented participants of various colleges, was evaluated by a panel of prestigious jury members. The winners of the event were declared after fair and careful evaluation.

Cultural performances were also included in the program, which adds a festive and vibrant spirit to the academic program.

This initiative served as a platform for students to voice their ideas and accelerate their oratory skills, which strengthens the vision of a vibrant and intellectually strong young India. (KDC)
