National Conference President Farooq Abdullah expressed deep grief over the death of former Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren on Monday.

Talking with Annie, Farooq Abdullah reflected the life of the co-founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, highlighting his personal struggles and determination to change the lives of people.

“Shibu Soren was a great leader. He came from a poor family and community, but was determined in his mind and soul that he would like to change the lives of poor people. He struggled his whole life and came to a position where he became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand.”

Former JK CM said, “He did everything to see that Dowtroden had been brought out of poverty. He was a real leader of people. Today, with his death, it hurts us; The nation continues to lose good leaders … He is also facing jail and has become very strong … Today his son is following his path to remove poverty in the waterfall.”

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey also expressed his condolences and said, “I got an opportunity to work with him in Parliament. He made a significant contribution to the JMM government to pursue his current position. His death is a major loss for Jharkhand. I pray to Baba Beedanath for Chief Minister Hemen Soren and his family.”

Additionally, Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary highlighted Shibu Soren’s efforts to bring the efforts of society back and poor classes in the mainstream.

“He was a Chief Minister. For several decades, he worked among the people. He tried to bring the back and poor sections of the society into the mainstream. I express my condolences for him,” he said.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and leader of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Shibu Soren died on Monday morning at the age of 81 in New Delhi after a long illness.

Shibu Soren led the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for 38 years and is known as the founder patron of the party. He served three times as CM of Jharkhand in 2005, 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.

Popularly addressed as “Dishm Guru”, he associated the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha with Ak Roy and Binod Bihari Mahato and led the movement demanding a separate Jharkhand state. His dreams of a distinct identity for Jharkhand people emerged in 2000.

In a four -decade career in politics, Soren was elected eight times for the Lok Sabha and served as a Rajya Sabha MP for two conditions. (AI)
